Terms of Service
Last updated: March 8, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using CloudBot, or by visiting cloud-bot.org, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the software or this website.
CloudBot is an independent product. We are not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or any other AI model provider.
2. What CloudBot Is
CloudBot is a free desktop AI assistant application for Windows and macOS. It runs locally on your machine and connects to AI model APIs (such as Claude, GPT-4, or Gemini) using API keys that you provide. CloudBot itself is free software — you are responsible for any costs charged by your chosen AI model provider.
Typical AI model API costs for personal use are approximately $15–100/month depending on usage. You can also use free local models via Ollama at no cost.
3. License to Use CloudBot
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use CloudBot for personal or internal business purposes. You may not:
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense CloudBot to third parties
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
- Use CloudBot to perform illegal activities or violate any applicable laws
- Use CloudBot to send spam, conduct phishing, or engage in any abusive automated behavior
4. Your Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- Keeping your AI model API keys secure
- All actions CloudBot takes on your behalf (emails sent, files modified, browser actions, etc.)
- Complying with the terms of service of any AI model provider you connect to
- Any costs incurred from AI model API usage
- Ensuring you have the right to process any data you provide to CloudBot
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
CloudBot is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees that:
- The software will be error-free or uninterrupted
- AI-generated actions will be accurate or appropriate for your use case
- The software will be compatible with all system configurations
AI models can make mistakes. Always review important actions (such as emails or file operations) before relying on them.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CloudBot and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the software, including but not limited to data loss, unintended automated actions, or costs incurred from AI model API usage.
7. Third-Party Services
CloudBot integrates with third-party AI model APIs at your direction. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of these services. Your use of any third-party AI model is subject to that provider's own terms of service.
8. Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of CloudBot or this website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the applicable courts of the United States.
